Welcome to an Incredible Legend of the 5 Rings Tourney.
The convention is a two day affair, but our L5R events will only be on the
Saturday (3rd). Sign-up begins at 10:00 am.
Tentative schedule is:
10:00 am - Registration
11:00 am - Suicide Tourney to kick things off. Needed to start with something
short, and maybe you'll get some cards for your decks for later. Winner will end
up with all the packs.
2:00 pm - Burt Cook from The Edge: School of the Sword doing Katana
demonstrations. It is possible that he will be donating a Katana for prize
support or drawing, and possible something else. I would love people to support
him since he's supporting us.
3:00 pm - Samurai Constructed. Depending on pre-reg numbers we'll have about 36
packs for first, 18 packs for second, and also possibly a Katana to give away.
Maybe more.
9:00 pm (or whenever we're done) - Enlightenment single elimination. You have to
win via enlightenment. We won't have enough time to do a full swiss rounds and
then a cut, so we're just going to hop right into single elimination rounds.
Prize is a full set of all 5 samurai edition rings signed by Steve Argyle.
I'm going to have to buy prize support out of my own pocket, which means only
one thing. I need bodies. I need warm, pre-registered bodies. To Pre-Reg for
RevolutiCon for both days is $20. For one day is $15. Tournament fees would need
to be high enough to cover costs of cards and sword and packs for suicide, so I
worked it out so that there would a special, L5R tournament, one-day, pass for
$20. This would get you into all 3 events, pay for your pack for suicide, and
also get you into the con for the day.
I think this event is going to be a lot of fun, and a long day of L5R. Free your
calendars, tell your players, and see if we can't get this rolling.
